Default Little bit strange Cortina Mk.I

Hi all,

I´m big Ford fan from Czech republic and I would like to introduce my project car....so, first of all please apologize my english

One day somebody kick me into my head and then I found very interesting vision to rebuild Cortina Mk.I to Cortina spider with Granada axles and V6 engine...

So there are some photos of this car which I´m starting with these days...

This picture is how it will looks like in the end...I hope

[

First of all I cut some nonimportant pieces

Then I made some part to fill this hole...

And then I welded this into car body...

Very important problem...this wheel

or this....

"Final" version with arranged wheel arches used from Transit...of course...they´ll be shortened to fit around wheel...

Exhaust is used only to show us, how huge diameter will fit into it...car will be equipped with two exhausts on every side...

More photos will be placed here as soon as I´ll make some more

So what do you mean about it?

Me too, but it´s only 14" with strange ET...and itś not as wide as I imagine... 17 x 8 on frontaxle and 17 x 10" on rear is better for intended "caricature" look...

After weeks of silent I made some general changes in philosophy of this project and tried to put another engine in this car...because I'm RS2000 Mk.V Escort lover....I used engine from this car and...Sierra MT gearbox...everything suits fine...

I decided, that Granada axles and engine is too fat for car like this...

This is how it look these days

At this moment I don't know how to realize side pipes from this engine, but anything isnt problem...

I really like the idea of an cortina roadster. Hope you're able to make the real thing as good looking as the drawing
