Default New Cossie Owner

Hi, couldnt see a new member section so iv thrown this in here.

As the title suggests iv just bought my first cosworth!

Im loving it so far although there are a few faults with it that i'll no doubt be asking for help on soon. Its a 91 Sapphire 4x4 & looks like this

Its covered 113k & has no rust!!

Coming from a scooby STI im loving the power delivery of the cosworth engine & the comfy as hell leather recaros!

Well done mate for getting a proper car. If you look after your cossie it will be ok. You just have to remember that these cars are old and will need money spending on them. They are a fun car to drive and alot safer than the 2wd. I think you have to be mad to drive a 2wd cossie, i would be shiting myself every time i came to a corner quick. I respect the owners of the 2wd cossies.

very nice condition

if you are not totally sure of the service history, i would immediately do a cambelt, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, brake fluid and coolant change. could save you some money in the long run.

for oil, use silkolene pro s from opie oils don't be using shit like castrol rs or mobil 1 imo

Its got Castrol RS in at the minute, was changed just before i bought it! Whats the matter with it? The cambelt looks pretty new but i might get it done to be safe.

Im with foreign rs on this, get a service into it as it might save you some cash in the future

I`d also phone the bank manager and give him plenty of notice about the money you will be borrowing shortly

Part from that welcome and enjoy a classic
