Default battery drain!

i have tried to find the battery drain today and when i was connecting the multimeter on the negative and positive of the battery it was showing 0.00 on the drain.

i can't understand that.

then the battery didn't have enough power to start the car again a few hours later so it was draining.

help!!!

thanks

If the meter was set to measure current, you need to connect the meter in series, not in parallel. Disconnect the earth strap and put the meter between the end of the earth strap and the battery negative, if you didn't.
