Here's hoping

From what everyone is saying, it'll have a 3 litre Six Cylinder Turbo Charged Engine pumping out 300bhp with four wheel drive.

I just sold my Cossie so i can get a everyday car and was planning on ordering the ST but after reading this i'm going to hold out a little longer as this time it sounds promising for some strange reason.

Nope it won't, still using the 5pot Volvo engine and FWD.

I'm fed up with people saying it won't happen, they don't know for sure, and this proves that to those within Ford the RS brand is still the daddy!

My mate's in the same position as you, was going to order a face-lift dolphin for next March and get rid of his Escos, now he's going to hold out. I was looking at going for an EVO X next year, looks like I'll be holding back too

i'm hoping for the RS, + i spoke to my friends dad who work in essex for ford and he said that ford are still in two minds about what route to take. They might use the S80 Engine and have the 4 wheel drive or we'll get the 5pot but with 4wd as a option.

so all in all i gathered he's talking shit however i'm hoping that they use the 3litre six cylinder. That'll be pure sex in a focus RS lol

It'll happen; the reason Ford had to anounce the cancellation of the project earlier in 2007 was due to the fact that the car was well over a year from production, and it would have affected sales of the ST if they had confirmed the car's existance so early on.

It's coming, the only thing up for debate is how many of the wheels will be driven!
