Default Saff 4x4 gearbox whine

Hi there all. Ive got a whining noise in first gear when im pulling away put the rest of the gears are ok. What causes the noise. Do you think if i change the gearbox oil it will make a difference. Or is the gearbox fooked.

make sure there is the correct oil in there first
it's specific for the mt75 and it's not the same as what ford now tell you it is

What grade of oil do u use in them. Can you use 75/90 semi synthetic. If not what is the special oil that people use then.

It's available from ford I have a couple of bottles spare (not for sale). Its called

MT75 5-speed transmission oil, and that's exactly what it says on the bottle. White bottle blue print and writing DONT PUT ANYTHING ELSE in it.

hope this helps.
