well i sold him the car with no engine or gearbox no ecu no exshust and we both did a recipte that the car was sold like this and now i need to prove to a court that the engine whent into my other car and was not stolen property so as i was the privious owner on the saff cossy it will still say it on the log book and i can prove that i did own the car and he can confirm that it was bought with no engine gearbox ect ect and that gets me my bits back form the police
If the engine is not listed as stolen then how can they do you for having a stolen engine?
If its a court matter and your solicitor thinks it could make a difference then you can get DVLA to contact them if needs be but I very much doubt tbh that the court could do you for having a stolen engine if its not listed as a stolen number (which it probs wouldnt be if you had it removed from your car)
So whats the problem? Why you going to court

Was it the original engine for that car?
Was the engine no. on the V5?
If non of the above you are no better off.
Car shows on DVLA as currently Taxed but does not show on http://askmib.co.uk/ as being insured.
