Default Northface.. jackets.. and there Electronic acceptance system

These seem mega popular in London.. but I went to buy one and they wanted 250 quid for it... xouldnt justify that so bought some Air Max instead..

My question is.. are these worth the money? seem good quality and I guess if they were shit, no one would wear them.. but loads of people had them on today..! I work indorrs so wouldonly b for the small work from the train station.. but definately requied..

Anyone get them cheaper?

They're similar to Berghaus jackets. Great jackets, worn by climbers etc as they are gore tex, but you woudnt catch me wearing one as it seems every single chav/smackhead/pleb in the North of England has one

Try online.

They seem to be very popular with film crews.

Oh, and either you've got frostbite in your fingers or you need a new keyboard

Rudey... I'm not talking about some market special here mate... Genuine..!

Google Bong - I did notice that whilst we were filming the latest Potter movie, literally the whole film crew wore them..

Im just worried that if I get one, I'll be wanting to climb things Just see it now.. instead of getting into the train to go to work, I'll end up climbing ontop of it and hanging on all the way... just to test the fucking jacket..

gotta be a posh description of a ski pass pocket mate

do you mean the RECCo avalanche rescue system?

I bought mine from the North Face shop in Holland, worked out to be half the price of what they are here.

Really good jackets, be aware that they have varying warmths (if that makes sense), this is signified be a number on the sleeve, i think 700 is the highest

Canada Goose will be my next winter jacket. Wear a North Face Nuptse 700 at the moment and they are pretty good tbh.

Want something a little different?

Mountain Equipment G2 jacket comes highly reccomended by me,

Had it on down the beach on sunday with a 40mph onshore wind and about 4 degrees,

Nowt on underneath but a tshirt and still toasty warm.

I havent actually had it on up a mountain yet, but its a damn good jacket, and very light and thin too, so you can get away with wearing it just about anywhere.

My mate who works as a soundman for SKY TV SPORTS NEWS has one of the North Face jackets. Its awesome for standing about in freezing conditions.

Try putting it on in the house for ten mins, u will be fast asleep in no time. Its like a mega sleeping bag u can wear

Bit heavy for regular use but unreal for keeping warm.

I believe there is an even heavier weight one they do but no hood or something

I bought one of these last year, a McMurdo parka. Im a bit of a jacket junkie Its too warm tbh, as mentioned before it's ok for the film bods who are standing in the cold all day or for spectator sports but if you are going shopping etc you will hate it! Get a goose down filled vest from Rab or North Face instead.

I would go for one with Goretex Paclite outer shell,

weighs fuck all, and if you take a 3 in 1 you can put a warmer fleece in if you're a wimp. Plus it makes a great rain jacket in summer then

Got a berghaus Goretex Paclite one at the moment, and it's absolutely great for those whole 4 days in a year i wear it
