a proper escos has the floorpan from a sierra (shortened with some taken ot of the middle) grafted onto the body of an escort. as such, the suspension is from the sierra which originated as rwd and is completely different to the fwd setup on an escort.
the escort has a lower wishbone (that controls both track and fore/aft movement) and mcpherson strut with an anti roll bar separate and linked via struts.
the sierra has a lower track control arm (does what it says on the tin - maintains wheel position in and out) and uses the arb as the fore/aft link.
to change your wheel centre will not be easy.
