Default Phone experts - Contract SIM in a PAYG phone

i wanna get a Pay as you go phone i've found cheap and but my works vodafone SIM card (monthly contract) in it as the phones work give is a cr@p!

the guy at work thinks it will work fine as the pay as you go phone is also vodafone... i just wanted to double check before i shell out £105

Will only be locked to the network IME, so that should be fine.

Check with the retailer though.

Be aware though, that some features may/may not work or be present, as contract phones are often configured differently by the manufacturer to the network's specification.

That's the only real difference.

If the phone is unlocked it will be fine. If your using the same networks for PAYG and Contract it will also be fine. If it's network restricted it wont.

So yes it should be fine.

if anyones on o2 i've found a PAYG nokia 6300 for £53 which aint too bad
the vodafone one works out at £69

where is the o2 one mate? im after that exact phone next, as ive had a trusty nokia 6230i for years but feel like a change to a similar, newer phone!

Ive just bought a payg phone for my contract sim and it works fine

Samsung c300 £19.99 only for 4 days till my upgarde so didnt wanna spend too much
