Default BP Diesel

I very recently became the proud owner of my first diesel car. When I first got the car, the on board computer showed that I was getting 37.7 MPG. It continued to show this until I filled up for the first time at Asda.

I have always used supermarket fuel for petrol cars and it did not occur to me that diesel would be any different, but the gauge immediately dropped and dropped until it was showing 31.1 MPG and there it stayed for the next couple of weeks until I filled up again today.

This time I went to a BP garage and even on the journey home, the gauge climbed up to 37.7 MPG!

Incredible!

Incredible indeed!

Who ever would have thought your diesel losing, then gaining less than 7mpg over a couple of weeks could be so exciting!
