Default CAT1 advice.

My insurance company is asking for the Certificate for my CAT1 alarm. Fair enough. So I went to get it to find out it's only valid for 1 year? WTF

Do car alarms need serviced? Or is it just some pikey way of the installer to come out press a couple of buttons and charge me an extra 50 bangers?

it may only be valid for 1 year....but send them a copy of the cert....the insurance company will not be bothered

theres no way they can expect people to have thier alarms serviced or checked every year...there is no point

Our lass's car has got a cat 1 and she sent the cert off and the insurance wouldnt insure it untill it had been serviced

I'd get it serviced just incase mate wouldnt want anything to happen then them turn round and say it was not insured cos you've not had it serviced.
