Default What's the best way.....?

basically, my starter motor is buggered! It will start from cold without much probs, but after a good run in the car, it obviously gets hot from the exhaust manifold, and then gives up until it's cool again!

Gonna buy a new one, but wanna protect it from the heat.

Is it better to wrap the downpipe in heat wrap, or to buy a heat shield for the starter?

I found this on the bay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Starter-Motor-...QQcmdZViewItem

will it be any good? I'd expect so for £30.

should I buy that AND wrap the downpipe?

Lastly, what kind of heat wrap to people recommend?

Cheers in advance

Keir
