Default Gearbox options for a YB...

Have tried standard...

Tried Gearboxman's quaife kit....

standard changes gear, the quaife doesn't.......waste of 2k....

What are the other options for a YB box ?

problem with the BMW boxes is that the bell housing is not detacable making a bit more of a job than the jag one.

AVA have a few BMW boxes sitting that we were going to use for mine but after weighing it all up the Jag one was best.

I was talking the JEMs guys on the Norway trip and they were saying something about a 'box that basically looked like a long cylinder and came in a flight case. They are meant to be the absolute daddy from what he said. Cant remember the name though. I think Reyland do them as well.

About 7.5k if I remember rightly

TKO600 is less than a grand if you buy from the states, Ł1-$2 at the moment.

add a couple of hundred for shipping....

Drenth MPG

The MPG is a 5-speed sequential racing gearbox. This gearbox is universal suitable for rearwheel driven cars. The gearbox has Dogbox engagement and optional powershift. Maximum torque is 750 - 850 Nm depending on car weight and ratios.

I know that supra boxes are very strong and the and the one out of the squarish 3ltr turbo can be had for pennys.

300zx boxes must be pretty strong as well. Plenty of big power ones on stock boxes and a heavy car too.

Both would probably be a bugger to fit though.

10000% Proven and pretty cheap. Job done.

why look else where unless you want dog engagement or sequential?
