ye jacko its getting sorted, it was all together but decided to take the new built 550 engine out and keep it as a spare for the mk3 and keep the monte simple on greens etc, with a different engine

Awwwww a girl after my own heart! When I was about her age I was given the nickname "The Mechanic" after I confounded my uncles by asking for Tonka trucks and toy cars instead of dolls. I learned how to check & top up oil, windscreen washer fluid, tyre pressures, pas fluid (I was the only one who knew where it was on our old Roller) and other bits n bobs by the time I was 9

... *sigh* somewhere there's a frustrated mechanic within me!!!

i nearly bought her a set of ford motorsport overalls at autosport, maybe next year, she should defo of been a lad

 

So what sort of power is she expecting to get out of her engines

 

our youngest (2) is the same she loves to get her hands dirty trying to help

i bet what you havent yet told us is that she had that engine in and up and running before the end of the day

 

no she`d just removed the one with the black rocker cover as its brand new and got a water leak out the side of the multi layer head gasket, shes painting the other engine up and fittin that tomorrow , lol

 

Take care with her mate out there. We had a very unfortunate incident at work here where one of the mechanics bought his 3 year old daughter in and tragically a wheel fell on her when she got out, as a result she died. Only about 2 months ago and hit all of us at work very hard as they are so innocent.
