On my 2wdcossie MWS engine bay wiring loom I have 3x terminals on their own sub loom labelled "Oct Adj" ; Pin 13, Pin 14 and Gnd.
Whats it for then, what do these 2x pins do when in the ECU?

On chips that dont include special features such as ALS and Launch control....
These allow the adjustment of the ignition timing.
This is a global adjustment that is applied accross the whole map.
By shorting these pins to ground in various combinations, you get different
adjustment settings.
MOST chips and cossie ecus types use the following values but its best to
check with your chip supplier to be sure.
Both pins NOT grounded = NO adjustment of ignition timing.
Pin 13 grounded only - retards ignition map by 2 degrees
Pin 14 grounded only - retards ignition map by 4 degrees
Both pins grounded - retards ignition map by 8 degrees (not 6
)
Some tuners use this to remove det for skimmed heads etc.....
But this isnt ideal.
Others use this for Nitrous retard..... Again not ideal but effective.
(uses external relay to switch this on only at the point its needed)
This facility was intended as a quick way of using lower octane fuels
but has the drawback that you will lose power if you do that !!
