Default Which Nitro RC Car??

As above a few of me mates are getting into them and have persuaded me to join in the action but unsure what one to get!! They are persuading me to get a Losi 8ight buggy but at over Ł400 it aint cheap (considering its only meant to for a laugh and ill probably get bored of it within a few weeks!!!!).

Are there any experts out there than can give me some alternatives to look at? I've seen the Losi Muggy RTR which I quite like but don't really know much about them!! Would prefer a 1:8 Truggy rather than a low car as the track is a muddy(ish) one!!!!

Cheers
Chris

i can only comment on the XT2, over grass, loose dirt etc it is brilliant, after run oil is a must tho as is priming the engine.

speak to rob@scc he races these at a pretty competitve level, and knows his stuff.......

i was thinking about getting into 1/8th rallycross a little while ago. and as i used to race 1/10th RC when i was a kid, i decided i might as well get some pretty decent kit if i wanna go racing with it at club level

i was looking at investment of around 1k to be competitive, and i already had the radio gear

Like some of the lads said XTM XT2 or Hyper 7. Driven both and for the money you cant go wrong, although the hyper looks nicer underneath the shell it does the same job.

Unless you want your wallet raped and to be dumfounded when trying to find yank size screws to replace the ones you WILL lose stay away for the losi stuff for messing. Losi stuff is nice and you to be some of the best until they were bought out by Horizon hobby and started selling all sorts of shite. The main guy that made Losi cars what they were, Gil Losi Jr. now works for Kyosho so if you ever start getting into serious racing head for Kyosho.

Used to race 1/8 buggies for Kyosho and sold and fixed R/C models for 3 years so you could say i know a thing or two about them (blowing me own horn )
