Spotted this on another site
As above i spotted this focus on another site. Bloke that posted it claims its the new focus cosworth 4x4 turbo. Is this aload of bollox or is this coming out some time soon?
Its got the wheels and the bumper vents from the old FRS, the wheels are a different colour and look totally photoshopped. The rear spoiler looks like it attached after it crashed into a trolley and the vent in the bonnet looks just like a simple photoshop shadow.
Nope, I don't think its real either

I would expect it's Bollox as Cosworth is no longer either an independent engineering company. The fact that Ford no longer have shares or close ties to any part of Cosworth which they sold to Champ Car World Series owners Gerald Forsythe and Kevin Kalkhoven also supports this.
The other fact that the wheel arches are not clean suggests that either ford are shaping wheel arches with blind engineers or that this is in fact a photoshop.. The obvious incorrect angle of the rear spoiler when viewed through the window suggests the same
A crap photoshop imho

Not an argument, just wondered what peoples opinions are?
The original company was founded as a British racing engine maker in 1958 by Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth (1933-2005 [1]) (COStin and duckWORTH). Despite being an independent company Cosworth was supported by Ford for many years and most of the Cosworth engines were branded Ford.
The company has been through a number of owners. After Keith Duckworth decided he didn't want to be involved with the day-to-day business of running a growing company he sold out to United Engineering Industries (UEI) in 1980; UEI was a group of small to medium-sized technology companies which was taken over by Carlton Communications in 1988, but Cosworth didn't fit the portfolio of media industry companies Carlton wanted to own; a new buyer for the company was sought and the traditional engineering company Vickers plc bought Cosworth in 1990. In 1998 Vickers sold the company to Volkswagen Group, who then signed a deal with Ford, which bought the racing division which had long made racing engines for Ford. Cosworth Technology (also known as CT) offers powertrain development consultancy, and its patented aluminium casting process is used by several car makers including Audi and Aston Martin. Volkswagen sold CT to the Mahle Group in December 2004.
Cosworth was split in 1998 into two companies, Cosworth Racing and Cosworth Technology. With the acquisition of Cosworth Technology into the Mahle Group, Cosworth Technology became Mahle Powertrain.
In September 2004, Ford announced that it was selling Cosworth Racing, along with its Jaguar Formula One team. On November 15, 2004, the sale of Cosworth was completed, to Champ Car World Series owners Gerald Forsythe and Kevin Kalkhoven, who renamed Cosworth Racing to Cosworth.

And would it not be good marketing for both companies if they used the Cosworth name on that car? They Used the name on Mercs.

I do not see Ford wanting to share large sums of money with a company which is not part of the company or cutting margins enough to competitively price a next generation Cosworth
Ford still have access to the RS brand which has a decent image and I expect any enthusiast car will simply wear that badge, if they cared so much for Cosworth why did they sell everything they had to do with it ?
The facelift is out anytime now so if you are going to get anything special it will be based on this..
