Default Lotus Carlton - A Full Rebuild from Scratch

Hello Chaps

thought you might like to see my mates Lotus Calton rebuild. He bought a perfectly useable LC but decided he wanted one 'as new'
What followed was the purchase of 3 LCs, a massive fire, the loss of a load of parts and a shed load of money.

I would have given up half way through and

But he continued and carried on throwing vast amounts of cash, time and love at it and is now the proud owner of the Best LC in existance

Just click on the link below to go to his dedicated website

http://www.lc890g.co.uk/

Hope you enjoy.

Any comments will be passed onto him.

Cheers

Paul

that must have been a kick in the stones having all that hard work wasted and for it all to go up in flames

Blimey, there I was having a little browse of this section and suddenly realised this thread was on my car.

Cheers for the comments guys, cars still well (although now in hibernation for the winter) but after all the work i'm still really pleased with the finished result

Any questions or further details you want just ask and i'll do my best to respond.

I have got one question actually Dave

What was the final cost?

Would it have been cheaper to buy a new one

Who knows and who cares tbh, price is irrelevant for the right outcome and its only gonna increase in value over time.

Its not as bad as you may think being that I did soooo much myself

Dave

You are the eternal optimist, your pint glass is truly half full

Well done chap, as you said, the result is amazing. And I guess you'll never sell it so it doesn't really matter what it cost......Well unless a cheap F40 comes up for sale??
