trackers can be a favourite, interior lights sticking on, boot light, central locking motor tryin got continue to motor shut when locked, any amps that are powerd up and not controlled by the remote will use some, what capacity (amp-hour) battery have yuo fitted?

is it a new battery? old ones can just die and go fooked, have you checked the electrolyte levels in the battery? if they are low it wont hold charge?

i fitted a big 75 a/h one to mine as it stands for quite long times at once in the garage, the std spec one is a 60 a/h one IIRC, have you checked the charging voltage with the engine running. when off, the coltage across the battery should be around 12 volts, when the engine is running (and charging) it should raise this to around 14 volts .

easy to test m8 , have yourself a mulitlmeter that reads dc amps , the higher the better ,

remove keys from ign , dont arm alarms etc, disconnect the neg batt terminal and place the mulimeter between the batt lead and the batt terminal , the reading on the mm will be the current being drained from the battery , when all the timers are off , int lamps etc etc then you wanna be seeing no more than 0.10amp for general car useage m8 !!

oh , if ya have a decent mm , say with a 20 amp dc scale then you can lock the car , wait and then read with system armed , will then test alarm system , led's etc etc , just DO NOT TRY AND START THE CAR other wise your mm will get it !

Danny@RADesigns,
Markk its your old cars so wat you done to the fucker

i removed the old shonky alarm and had it replaced , the night that i bought it (funny the same with my 1st sapphire) locked it , alrmed it , 4am of it goes

while you got the mm on it , if you trun off all int lamps etc , best to remove the door pin switch when door is open to disable int lamp circuit , all if workin in the car , but the same with the bonnet pin switch , unplug it , then remove each fuse one by one until the drain disappears , the follow what ever is on that circuit !!

hth
