Escort Cos head numbers or how to identify a 4wd head!
How can I identify a 2wd vs 4wd head.
I have a bare head which I was told was escort cossie but this has been disputed by someone saying it's early 2wd.
I'll be totally honest - I'd listed on ebay (and got the start price totally wrong lol!) and pulled it as a result of doubting what I'd got.
I've been googling all night and can't find anything to help identify either - there doesn't seem to be much info out there these days.
Would really appreciate some help on this! Cheers

two wheel drive heads have two lugs that stick out on the exhaust side of the head .one lug is the mount for the turbo damper
the 4 wheel drives dont have the lugs ,just a straight edge

If you can cc the combustion chamber you can tell the difference, I cannot remember the volumes but have it written down somewhere.
