Just gone to turn the Pulshit over, and it wouldnt go... clicked and thats it.

Batterys been on charge all day, So I know its ok... All lights are fine

Just put some jump leads to it and it started first time no probs,Anyone reckon its a fuse for something, like the starter motor?

Sounds to me like either a knackered battery, or it in actual fact wasnt charging like you thought it was!!!

If it starts off the jump leads but not directly off the battery, it can only be:

The battery is U.S or
The battery to lead connections are corroded, == remove leads and clean the battery posts and the lead terminals and refit tightly.

Youv'e proved everything else works, starter, engine to body earth, fuses etc.

.

i'd say the battery has a dead cell, there is enough in it to run lights etc, but when you try and start it, there just isnt enough 'wumph' in the battery to get her turning over.

radders my battery in the bmw just died one night

i towed xrt-si's car to paul hills with it ( there was the first mistake ), drove back at a reasonable pace ) he was holding on to the handle,,,, but he was still shaken from being towed in the outside lane on the A12 overtaking cars whilst on a tow bar in and out of traffic with a bloke who dont use indicators ( must be a BMW thing)

anyway after the spirited drive there and back we went to get fuel,,, car would not fucking start again,, wouldnt even lock the fucking doors ( had to use the key,,,, imagine having to do that )

the batt just died,,,, aparently that can happen

trip to halfords boyo or get me the bat code and ill see what i can do for ya

a 3 digit number that starts with a 0,,,,, eg 004 or 063 or 093 blah blah blah]

some jap cars have 004R or 004L if there reversed terminals and,,,, well not sure why cause some of the reversed terminals just have different numbers anyway

Forged pistons
Multi layer steel head gasket.
GAB adjustable suspension front and rear
Front mount intercooler
Apexi sus stainless steel filter
Mongose full exhaust with decat
Tarrox g88 front discs with EBC red stuff pads
Goodridge stainless steel brake lines all round
RPS streetmax clutch
Quickshift gear linkage
16" Speedline alloys

Its running at 14psi, so it should be good for at least 290bhp or hopefully 300bhp

Will be set up and RR'd soon

Battery is knackered, DON'T go anywhere near electrical items with SANDPAPER, the glass particles that rub off the paper can melt on the item being sanded when subjected to electricity, and insulate the terminals!!
My friend did it with his SKODA RAPIDE years ago despite my telling him not to use it on his points, broke down 15 miles from nowhere at 3am, towed car back I cleaned the points started frst time!

The Halfords battery I have on my Pulsar is a HCB005, iirc it's meant for some 4x4 but is a perfect size for the tray and has the right terminals.

510 cold cranking amps.
