Default ESC COS power steering tensioning pulley

mine has siezed now can i just replace with a similar pulley or do i get one for £80 odd plus vat from frauds

You cannot buy the pulley on it's own, or replace it AFAIK.

It is factory pressed into the large cast iron mounting bracket. I think that is why it's so expensive.

fords about £90 got one not so long ago!!


you just missed a new one on ebay too!! Went for about £40!!

they are a piece of piss to free off, my air con tensioner (which is just about the same) was siezed 4 years ago, loads of wd40 then moving it backwards and forwards in a vice followed by loads of "normal oil" soon had it freed off, still free now!!!

i just fitted a new one to mine, my had lost a bit of tension, the belt had started making a noise like an old dry belt makes

just put a spare one on mine

i took the complete mounting bracket off which is a pain and there is a 17mm bolt holding the tensioner to the bracket

i had to take the rad out to get the alternator bolt out

No it isnt

it just bolts on from the back
