Default Water temp sensor placement - Discuss!!!!

I need to put in the water temp sensor for my stack dash, and was wondering where the best place would be??

I personally think it should be just after the radiator in the circuit or near the fan switch??

Discuss.............

include reasons why too

If you put it near the fan switch in the radiator then its not going 2 register properly until the thermostat opens.

Why dont you put it where the standard Ford one goes??

if you put it in your rad then if you lose water you won't know your engine is cooking. if its a 4x4 head drill and tap where it would be on 2wd
