Default Mobile Speed Camera Q

Are they allowed in same place within 4 weeks???

i think i read somewhere they are not allowed to be used in same place twice in a month because then they are classed as permanent or something??

anyway, the coonts were in a disused petrol station forecort on saturday, and this morning they were there again, parked about 10ft forward, still in the forecort tho.

are they allowed to do this???

Well they are on the A127 every Friday and Saturday so i suppose they are allowed to be in the same place

Don't know about the petrol station, but they must have the camera clearly visible, so if you get flashed and they are hidden they go take a picture of where they are and you might stand a chance of getting off!

Dan, At the end of the day, they can do what ever they like and if they
bend the rules, they change them in their favour.

I just got a speeding ticket from a truvelo forward facing camera.
I was in a long line of traffic doing about 30mph, I even saw the camera as I
approached and slowed down a bit.
Still got flashed and the speed was 34mph in a 30mph.
Having 18 inch wheels obviously makes your speedo under read.

i think at 34mph you loose your 10% for speedo being out as that would be 33mph obviously your larger wheels ahve put it more than 10% out if your clocks were showing 30.

hate teh forward facing ones never know which side they are doing etc
