Default zetec in mk3 escort, not sparking????Help.....

Have just fitted the engine and tested for a spark, injectors aint pulsing either and no pulse at coilpack.Tried changing cps, coilpack, edis and plugs and still nothing....ignition and fuel pump relays are working. any ideas???
maybe one for safechav....

Check edis and coilpack for 12V when cranking.

Ive changed crank sensor, only 12v in middle pin on coilpack plug and 0v on outer pins when cranking. what pin on edis do i check for 12v when cranking???

Could it be the ecu? ive checked the resistance of the cps when cranking and the ohm readings change.
