Default Cats?? can someone break it down for me please

i know nothing about cats but i do know theres different breeds.

reason i ask is because my friend is obbsesed with cats (shes a girl obviously) and shes looking for an all white cat but has had now joy!

are there any cat breeds that are more than likely to be born all white or is it a case of most cat breeds having a chance to give birth to white kitties?

how much will cats differ when it comes to different breeds in terms of looks!

im trying to find her one but im looking for one of those standard looking type cats in all white.

any help please..

o and how much will a kitty like that cost me

thanx

easy to find one if you go to breeder, all depends what type of cat your after as well, long or short hair?

your looking at around £300 give or take.

be aware all white cats suffer from deafness

We have an all white and an all black cat and they look just great together but beware of the white fur everywhere, sofa, clothes, carpet etc.

They came from the cats protection charity 10 years ago for a donation.

Also we are very lucky because some people say all white cats suffer deafness but ours has got perfect hearing.

im going to change it to 'pure' white cats suffer from deafness and not 'all' white cats as that sounded wrong

its a gene they carry so can be tested, if it is deaf then it needs to be an indoor cat.

Both my cats have selective hearing, when you tell them to get off the sofa they are deaf as a post..... yet they can hear me open a can of Whiskas from half way down the street!

SNAP!

We have 2 cats, 1 white 1 black! The black one is heading for double figures age wise, the white one is just 1 year old! We couldnt resist the white one when we viewed the litter, at 8 weeks she had a small grey patch on her head (directly in the centre of the top of her head, and quite pale) however this has since pretty much vanished, guessing its just grown out!

Much the same though, the white one has no sight or hearing issues!

All white cats do NOT suffer deafness!!

Most white copper eyed persians have perfect hearing.

the only ones you need be weary about are white cats with blue eyes.
