If only that car had one fitted.

Its got the usual Buick Grand National turbo 3.6 V6.

Just with a lot of power.

Awesome cars.

Cool cars them Buicks, got a bit of a cult status in the USA from what i understand and theres a few SILLY fast ones over there.

Standard 0-60s was apparently rated in the sub 5 seconds.

Steve hadnt posted at that point.

Sounds exactly like an 8 to me when its running down after the run, so im well surprised to hear its a 6, but im not going to argue with someone who knows for a fact whats in it just on the sound that comes out my crappy laptop speaker.

Cool link

The muscle cars of the 1960s had the power to beat the GNX, but the tires of the time could not transform this into speed, not to mention the numerous techniques employed in the GNX allowed the car to transfer all the power to the ground, such as a ladder bar that ran from the mid-section of the car to the rear axle, so as to increase traction. This is also the reason why a GNX will actually lift the rear end up when the car is about to launch heavily. The GNX never made much of a road-track competitor to cars like the 911, but it could certainly hold its own on a drag strip.

Story was the non turbo v6 couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding but they made a 380bhp (i think, cantt remembr now) turbo one as a pace car for the indy500 or summat, and it was so mint they turned it into a production version.

and GNXs just happen to look totally badass too
