it was some concelation that pops ran 14.7 tho woulda been ammusing to see your response to that, but then the cheeky coont ran a 13.9 @ 103mph afterwards so i cant rub it in

smit was running a few low 13s then id a 12.9 time of the day i think!

the RS Turbos were VERY ammusing to watch, alex ZVH cabrio managed a stonking 17.2sec time ive never seen a car wheelspin SOOOOO much the XR2 turbos were in the 16s mostly, the fookers just span and torque steered all over the place could see chicken half way up the strip still violently fighting the steering wheel

i recon that stuff they put on the strip aint really glue, its fookin WD40!

i got a 14.04 @ 107mph all the others i didnt launch right and the last one i did some diigger (spadge ) had dropped oil on the track so i just snaked up and did a 17 second

wish i came earlier on satruday

not bad for my 1st ever 1/4 mile run

 

got to say that is the worst strip i ever been on i was in a 1.1

 

i cant moan at the oil dropper... on the saturday i left about 3 kilos of mud on the startline

FPMSL!!!- was a top weekend IMO, weather weren't great, but still a bllody good laugh- roll on next year!!!!!!

16.35 @ 92.7 - first run, was quite funny spinning into 3rd
15.4 @99.31
15.1 @99.2
15.07 @ 100.11 (see that jim- 100 mph terminal, still with 6 psi )

14.97 @ 99.2

so, all in all, im happy that im in the 14's, at at least im reasonably consistant speed wise, just gota get the fooker to grip! - none of my 60ft times are below 2.6 seconds

tiff excuses are as follows:

1) grip was bad

2) recounter weren't workin n helmet meant i couldnt hear the engine revs etc. so didnt know how much i was revving it, hitting limiter etc. etc.

3) the nitrous is WAY too laggy and i was activating it at the wrong time

4) i had a hangover

5) the zetec S owner gave me evils on the startline and scared me

6) "it's not my scene"

The Yellow dutton with the v8 did a 11.7 on sunday just before rain stopped play

 

Was a wicked weekend shit weather!!!!!....... But i think we all made the most of it by just abusing the fields the BBQ's and the alcohol

I loved having a play in your car smit on the grass And you even got the stick for it from the offical guy

 

My best was 15.2 at 86mph. Smit made me look stupid on my last run doing a 12.9!!!

so who was it who got an ear bashing from the official about racing, it was an xr2 i think, was going down the bit of road near where u come in and pay at that arch way thing.

 

they were actually attempting to map the car down that strech

 

got that on film

 

mark xr40 off xrtwo that was, hes just put a 2ltr zetec in and they were mapping it as Jim says, they ended up going out mapping it for about 3hours lol
