Default Clicking noise from rear of 2wd cossie

I thought it was the diff on its way out but someone mentioned it mite be the half shaft running dry of grease could this make it click it only does this now and again would appreceiate any advise cus i dont want anything to go bang when driving

I was just driving back with ed and my rst started making a clicking noise from the back too. He pulled me over and showed me the jacking point cover on the near side was swinging about

Maybe it's something as stupid as that? When does it click? Does it do it when you put the car under into a particular corner? Under a certain amount of load? or is it completely random as to when it happens?

no it aint that paddy the clicking is coming from drive shaft

Also check the driveshaft bolts are secure as I had a clicking and on closer inspection they were all fookin lose on the outer o/s

checked the bolts all tight it must be the cv joints then but sometimes it clicks and other times it dont just bought a second hand one and going to strip it down and repack it with grease and see what happens
