HI IM BUILDING A GP 4 MK2 RS 2000 WITH A TURBOCHARGED YB!! NEARLY FINISHED BUT I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH TO TAKE OF THE COSWORTH SUMP AS IT FOUL 'S THE X MEMBER ANY BODY OUT THERE HELP!!! :cry
managed to get some photos on these were taken before it was painted as you can see it was very good to start, if not so fussy i could have went back on the road withput paint but why stop there when you know fine well its a money pit!!!!

there are a couple of them that have done this conversion.

Pig on here has done it as well (he drives a yellow yb rs2000) and kevmk2 drives a red mk 2 rs2000

I wouldn't cut the sump mate just move the engine back a bit further & trim the x member that what i've done in mine

 

hi kenny if i move the engine wont that affect the prop shaft lenth as i already have bought a modified prop from pj props i think i heard you can turn the mounts roundthe other way ?? plus the crossmember has already been cut and welded up again. the engine sits very close to the bulkhead as it is so i dont know what to do lol i need to decide today as its holding be back time cheers

Not sure about your prop, just trim the bulkhead flange what xmember are you using

 

i have both a std an a w cup so il be going with the w.c for extra strenth i was told just there with the w c sometimes you dont have to chop the sump so fingers crossed

 

I've got a wcxm on mine,some of them are not a good fit may need a bit of alterations

 

cool fingers crossed it should fit with out any major hassle il keep you posted
