Default frst spoiler, how are they fixed on?

on the rst spoiler is it just the rivets that hold the spoiler on or are they bonded also?

the rivits only hold the sides on

Under the spoiler there are 4 or 5 studs which poke through the tailgate and then nuts are fitted from inside the tailgate.

if the tailgate dont have the holes they will need drilling out

Open the boot, look up at the top, you will see 4 Black blanking caps, pop em off, Look in, you will see nuts holding it on, chances are though, they will snap when you undo em.

basically ive got another bootlid and just got it sprayed, but its off a 1.1 so what does everyone rekon the best way of fitting the old spoiler on the
new boot, drill all the nessecary holes and refix or just bond it on?

when i fitted one to a normal boot some time ago, i made a Cardboard template of the spoiler, as the end studs are slightly offset to the studs in the middle of it, i then put the template on the new boot, marked the holes and drilled em, you will have to protect the freshly drilled holes to stop em rusting.
