every time a spend a bit of time on the net i get a message saying there is a illegal operation and give me 30 seconds

 

then restarts my computer

 

there was a virus doing the rounds that shut down ya pc after 30 secs
my doom i think it was called

 

when the computers on for the 30 secs, try hitting:

CTRL+ ALT+ DELETE

It should come up with the task manager that tells you what programs etc are currently running, you may see what it is thats causing it on there?

 

hi mate go to www.download.com and search for spybot download this then it will search and destroy any virus pop up the lot and its free well recomended

get a firewall

 

sevice pack2 seemed to get rid of mine

never new it was a virus though with a name

 

how do u do a screen dump i have another note come up?

 

hit CTRL + Print Screen to screen dump

 

Before you throw the PC out the window, pop your head outside and check that Sticker Paul isnt there ready to catch the fooker

 

yep you got the that virus that did the rounds m8 is easy to get rid of buti cant remember how

To stop the shutdown-procedure, click on your Start button, click on Run, and then type "cmd" and click OK. This will open up a command-prompt window, in this type the following and press return:

shutdown -a

 

Had that aswell

But it totally fooked my pc up
