Default Big Brake Question.......

A quick question to anyone running big brakes on a s1/2 erst, Did you upgrade the master cylinder??
Heard using the mondeo v6 servo and cylinder is a popular upgrade??
Cheers

Do the AP discs go straight on to the Brembo 4 pots without any hassle?

They were an absolute bitch to fit. Brackets and bells were custom made (my design). 16" wheels really aren't a good idea with 330's, there is only 2-3mm between the caliper and the wheel in places (and that was with some material planed off the caliper!!).

Pedal feel is OK. Not perfect, but I think that's got more to do with other inadequacies in the system.

My brake system has been entirely repiped too, more conventionally, with a Bias valve in it too.

7x16" with 195/45/16's when I did the conversion, although I now have 205/45/16's.

Caliper clearance to the inner face of the wheel is OK, but it's the diameter of the whole brake set-up that is the problem. 16's just aren't really big enough. My wheels are ruined on the inside, where stones get caught between the caliper and the wheel!!
