hello,

how do i notice when a turbo is surging. can you hear it or feel it?

both, im crap with words but it sounds like the engine is stalling and missfiring, and you get the "wastegate chatter" sound

are you getting it? whats the spec of your engine and turbo?

 

i know for sure my turbo isnt surging because its a t-3 with 23psi. but i was curious about it how to find out.

i've read on PF when you have a t-38/t-4 or something you must have a flown head otherwise it will surge like hell.

 

what abuot the stardard rs500 then?

but you are right in a way, if you are going for a tidy amount of power, you can get surge issues with larger compressor housings

 

and i meant when you boosting a lot of pressure.

Hi...depends how bad the surge is....bad and it actually feels like your hitting a brick wall...minor and it feels like a fluttering...medium is a combo of both feelings..LOL.
