Edited 11th Jan 2009:
Relucant sale (on my part
), not boosting properly (gets to 10psi and 'stutters' wont rev any higher then will give a big 'bang' out of the exhaust hasn't had a code reader put on it (and have got a new Phase sensor but not replaced yet) possible valve guides (although receipt for head rebuild at 96k before I bought it, but guide were not replaced according to receipt) I'd rather spend a bit and get it rebuilt, but may be easier to take a loss and sell it on...
stil runs great and drives great - just puffs a bit of smoke when revved high (I've threatened J with not talking to him for putting it up for sale, but I think that made him more determined
) bird poop on the bonnet has caused a 'raised' mark in the paint where it was (will take pic later) rear door cards starting to 'stretch' at the top

See above
Had a lot of hear say ref what it could be, if a bit of money spent sorting the problem I think it'd still be worth it and then be able to command a price on the higher side of the spectrum, least you'd have a cossie you trust..

Get the head off it you lazy bastard!
I've already offered to buy all the parts, we got a great machine around the corner, I'd make sure it doesn't just sit in the garage now nothing to keep it coming out

Wasn't for sale for over a year, this thread was locked in 2007 after deciding to keep - then yeah neither of us have touched it for over a year apart from to start it or run it round the block so the problems never been addressed, time goes so quick
I was too lazy to start a new ad so asked for this to be unlocked then edited the original posts - everything still as above - although Neil has made a very good case for keeping it again

No, I've lowered it to £3,695. Only differnence from now and then is no tax and nearly no MOT
I think he needs to sleep on it really, would be hard to find another one as good unless you want to pay £5k upwards, I bet would regret selling, need to get our arses in the garage and fix the damn thing
I mean its not going to lose money just say there under it covers
