Default Rs turbo clutch

The clutch has started slipping in my friends escort rs turbo the car is fitted with a fiesta efi engine.I have a new clutch spare for a 1.8 16v zetec engine would it be the same as the rs turbo clutch as someone has told me it would be????

It will fit but weather it will last long or be up to the job is a diferent story id get a proper turbo clutch nothing worse than putting the cunt back together to find out it slips

99.9% sure its the same clutch, they are both 220mm clutches, theres a slim possibility the clutch plate itself could be made of something different but i highly doubt it.

Well there not hard to do but dont fancy doing it twice so ill advise him to get an rs clutch thanks lads

if the engine isnt standard its probably worth while getting something a little more heavy duty

Yea i think its only running a zorst and air filter at the moment and i know hes going to be after more power so have told him hel be better off with a fast road clutch.What would you recomend?

I changed my standard clutch to a CP2000-8 and was dissapointed of how little more power it supported before slipping big time.
