ok basically i noticed this morning i started my car and it smoked for a bit till it warmed up a bit, i thought fair enough prob condensation, but i stopped at a shop for about an hour, when i started it up again, same thing, it smoked again for a while, its got a t2 turbo which im not too confident about, and its a grey kinda smoke, i instictively thought it was nackered turbo on its way out, but a guy at power engineering said it could be stem seals if it just on start up but, i thought that wud have been blue smoke if it was stem seals.

anyone got any ideas? i know it sounds like turbo but kind holding out hope

 

sounds like good old valve stem seals, if it were turbo the smoke would b bluey grey or white! im goin wiv stem seals but i might b wrong, hope not lol

 

its the turbine. loads of play in the shaft and oil inside the turbo. bugger

its cool i done a t3 conversion on it yesterday, i got all the parts for £150 for the conversion, so a little bit cheaper than the rebuild on a t2.
