Default Mk4 to Mk3 Conversion

Doing a full resto on my S2 and was thinkin of changing it to a S1. Had a look about and couldnt really find anything that says all the parts you would need, anyone know? lol

I know you need the wings, scuttle and front pannel but dont have a clue what needs changed on the back.

Cheers, Scott

And in all the panels NOT mentioned here you will find openings, screw holes, bolt patterns, etc that don't match. It's of course easier if you are going to build it up with mk4 parts e.g. dashboard, rear seats, parcel shelf, radiator,... .

Cheers everyone, was just going to leave the S2 dash and all that in, but not planning on much of an interior anyway.

Well 90% of the shells mint, the only bits that are rustyand needing changed would be the bits to turn it into a S1. Well the front pannel and the drivers wings abit rusty round the lip of it. And I'm only really wanting it as a track car, Im not too bothered about it being an original show type car or anything so I think a S1 would look cooler than a S2

Because Series Ones are so much better in every way than a common S2

i agree, y ruin an rs you'll spend all this money making it look like a series one but it wont tally up with the plate etc and look dodgy and prob wont be worth much, surely if you changing all them panels just restore a rotten s1? def worth it in the long run mate
