Default *Jam-Sports 2.5 Fiesta ST*

Just thought id post a picture of a customers fiesta st built by jamsport, its a 2.5L engine, the first ever duratech done to this spec, never mind st!

story of this car, was originally a 2.3 on throttle bodies, jamsport got 280bhp from it then, but we were aiming for 300+, jamie and the lads goton the case and developed a 2.5L conversion for the car, this conversion includes a steel knife edge crank forged rods and pistons. The head was originally jamsports ported and polished head. the car currently has a high flow head which has been cnc machined with 1mm oversized valves.

the car will still be limited by the throttle bodies, as jamsport have proven on theflow bench, this will berectified by fitting some 52mm throttle bodies when the engine is run in.

anyway enough of that

but here are some pics:

brake upgrade to follow, this will hopefully be done tomorrow so ill add pics of it then.

anyway, what do you all think?

just need to run it in and then have it mapped.

Impressive

Just paid that to get my Stack repaired well nearly

I would of thought by going to 2.5 the engine wont like to rev as much now ?

Obviously totally depends on which way its done ofcourse but I know the 300hp Cosworth Duratec isn't a 2.5

Proper proper engine though, really nice to see something done a bit different to normal

Its limited to 4000rpm at the moment and belive me, i was flat out in another ST which isnt exactly slow and it came past me like i was going backwards on the duel carrigeway into rockingham!.

Its gonna be an awsome car when its all finished!.

And then theres the supercharger and turbo conversions that are in development!

So watch this space people

Cheers
