Default Rear disc conversion, what parts do i need ??

As topic, want to convert my old drum rear brakes to discs and was wondering what parts are needed and best place to get them from.

Its cossie rear calipers aint it, also Mk5 RS2000 handbrake cable, what hubs should i be looking for and where's the best place for the mounting brackets ??

Cheers

it would be best if you can get a rear beam off a 2000 which had rear discs, but then i could be wrong.

Is this for an RSi? for the typical conversion you need sierra cossie/XR4i rear calipers, RS2k handbrake cable, and the hubs from a later model mk3/4 escort with have the 8 inch drums. The brackets you can get from somewhere like Burton power for around £40 IIRC You'll also need new rear brake hoses.

Hope that helps

First thing you need is bigger fronts. My Rears are 273mm. Std fronts are 253 or something?

For the conversion, the info is in my project thread, link in my sig including pictures.

Its easier just to get hold of a complete beam of an rs2000 and cable mate they just bolt straight up no problem.
