well in my mk6 when im on full lock then i start to straighten there is sometimes a loud clunk or clonk (whichever you prefer.) just wondering what part of the steering system causes this and does it need replacing?
please, someone muct know, my mot is soon and i want to know if this may cause a fail or a hefty repair cost, if so i would repair myself. f**k labour costs.
The most common item would be the track rod end, but could be the rack or even something simple like the spring not being seated correctly in the shocker
check steering rack where it bolts onto the subframe they come loose if not check the uj and failing that it be the tie bars not the rack the racks are bigger that cozzy items and rarley fail
it wont be springs im sure, it dosent really happen when driving so there is no load on the springs, its when im stationary and truning it to park for example.
