Im changing my manual sunroof to electric in my saff. Do you have to cut away the roof lining to incorperate the new pod? What does the pod sit on at the top side?

You have to cut away some of the roof lining to get round the motor. The pod screws in at the front where the old one came from. problem you have is the new pod is different shape to the old one. Paul

As above you have to cut away part of the lining, I've fitted the pod using the two screws behind the light and its fine. If you feel the need I think you and get a screw in behind the switch before you put it in.

Ive got as far as the cutting off the roof lining and how the fuck the pod mounts when ive cut it away! Am i right in saying "it will be obvious when the lining has been cut" or just go for the custom modification?

you need to cut the minimum amout away so thats its still inside the area of the pod. You could glue the front of it to the lining and screw the front above the light fitting.
