I'm stripping my mountain bike down because I want to spray it a different colour but I need some inspiration!!

It was way too small for me so I have just built myself a spanky new one

How long did that take to strip & put back together?

 

about a day and a half!! Got paid Ł10 an hour to do it too

 

No point in showing you mine its a bare alloy frame Marin, in fact it could be anodised silver

ive got a fairly new bike which i think i will start getting out on a LOT more, just need to kerb the beer methinks

 

My nephews around for a couple of weeks & he's bought his bike with him so I thought I'd fix mine & take him around a few bike routes

This is what I use in the summer, it was my late grandfathers.

Its a lovely ride and it was free to.

 

why dont you get a red and white one..put some gay stickers on it and you will be be sorted

 

My old WTP signature frame! Absolutely awesome bike, solid as a rock! Would have another BMX if i ever get my hand sorted, NEVER buy a mountain bike though!

well this is what is was like when it was black before i got radders on the case to pimp my frame

 

How does one go about snapping an intense M1? they're tanks!!

 

This is my standard sta was a good bike in it's day when i used to dirt ride,still dig it out every now and then but getting a bit too old (or fat)for all the 360's etc.....now it just needs a good old polish and putting back in the shed !!!

 

 

i know quite a few that have snapped or welds cracked etc... something you dont expect of a 2k frame... but as to your question i dunno how i snapped it. i noticed after a ride home from work there was a massive crack but i honestly dont think it was that

but my tazer on the other hand, that was riding home from work, hopped up a 2ft wall and as i went to manual off and the frame was toching rubber. got off and checked over very quick. my concerns were the shock but couldnt see nothin wrong so carried on riding (i ragged it home too, god knows how i didnt hurt myself) got home had some dinner then decided id find out what i broke. then i noticed a big crack around tthe top swing arm so took cables out and the rear end just fell out. i literally rode home with my gear cable and brake hose keeping my back end together

 

I knew i had a bike somewhere in my garden.......

so for those of you with disc brakes, they any good? mate has got a set he's trying to sell me, just wondering if they're worth the upgrade?

Nah they're cable operated, no particular make i don't think. Will they be any better than my v-brakes??

 

id rather run a decent set of v brakes personally. heard nothin but bad things about cable discs
