being ebay - I would be careful. If its too good to be true it most likely is! Never has anything been more true of ebay. It could be genuine though so proceed with caution

The fact you wont tell us what it is is interesting me.....are you embarrassed of what you bought?

your doing him a favour as he nbeeds rid asap.

if you dont take it then he'll have to give it away for even less.

is it an industrial sized petrol powered, 4 stroke vibrator with attachments?

Make sure it's genuine.

There are very few bargains on ebay and to win something worth a solid Ł6k for Ł1k... I'd be very suspicious.

But, if it's a cash on collection thing then you should be ok.

There could be a genuine reason, there could be a sinister reason (stolen, blatent money fraud etc)

One ebay scam is that people sell something expensive on ebay for a cash on collection deal which in itself reduces the price due to reduced number of buyers able to collect. When you turn up to collect the seller has his bunch of thugs waiting to deprive you of your hard earned.

Just make sure if it is cash on collection it is somewhere public.

you got it cheap end of story

same as the rs500 T4 we won.... asked him if he would end early for Ł700 he said no....

we won it for Ł460 he was gutted

thats the risk you take on ebay im afraid, should have put a reserve on it if he was that bothered

be careful as said, it could be...

nicked

or as said a group waiting to take the cash off you.

Personally I would go in 2 cars and atleast four - eight of you.

You and a couple of mates go to the addressin one car, car 2 waits round the corner, when you turn up, have a mate that is with you chattin to the other mates on the mobiles in the other car.

If it suddenly turns a bit hairy, he can tell the others and they can be with you in seconds.

Maybe a bargain, but I think there will be more to this than meets they eye.

Someone I know of bought a rolling shell, he turned up and went to load it up and the seller says, take it off, I want another 1k all got very nasty, unfortunately for the seller, the guy who bought it looked like a pussy but was extremely hard and violent.

The seller quickly decided he didn't need the extra 1k after all

Be careful with this, a mate of mine bought a E46 Beemer off Ebay a while back, paid about 10k for it but was worth a bit more at the time, went down, paid cash and everything seemed ok until he got pulled by the police and got the car took off him, turned out the guy had stolen it off people while they was away and sold it on Ebay, then when the people came back off holiday they reported it stolen....

My mate got the car took off him and got none of his money back, so basically 10k down the swanny...

yea.. now thats shit.... as for this, its an abandoned project.... the guy wants shot of it... he wants to move ect... the project nearly finished and there is a load of work still to be done, i would of thought if it wasnt coasha then it would be a cheap proper car ect, also when i spoke to the guy he really knew what he was talking bout with this type of project car. he has basicly lost interest due to having a really bad time and wanting to move away..
