Yes 16i Not owned one so thought id get one!

It will be mint yes. And it is a very VERY good shell, all solid in the right places. Got GEN ford front panel and wings to go on and rear panel. MINTY MINT UNCRACKED dash And then shitloads of gen new parts and spares....

Only trouble is, its stripped and not labled, so i need to get stuff sorted before i even start...

Oh, i got a spit with it too so i can get to do it easy

Im glad ive got the rsi as its kinda xr3 more than rst, but yet is an RS that is rare as etc....bit of both worlds kinda...if ya get me lol

Where the hell do you guys start when building a car like this? I always say one day when I can afford it I'll have a proper project but I haven't the foggiest how you'd build up from that state!

Do you generally put the wiring in first?

id say as its stripped fit a cossie engine to it then rebuild it, i LOVE rs16i's but,,,,, well there fucking slow

and if you have any probs Lee contact Tony Fuller if he still the RS1600i registrar he always a helpful bloke and knows,all there is to know about RS1600is

and wheres scrumbow he would have a hard on another RS1600i being saved

 

the oly thing thats gonna slow me down is the fact its stripped and just boxed...in nor real order. If i hadnt already stripped a few mk3/4 escorts id have no chance of doing this

But there are loads of stuff with it thats a bonus....lots of 'spares' thats really lots of accumulated crap...but im boxing into some sort of order, like, interior, engine bay etc etc and ill just go through it when i come to rebuilding that part...

Well, ive been out ALL DAY now unloading the van and trying to sort through stuff...FUCK IT...its all got piled up in the garage loft apart from the good powdercoated and polished bits and new bits, they are going in the office. Interior is going in my mums loft.

Plan is to get the bodywork all ready to be painted, then when its at the body shop i can sort through stuff.

Far too many little bits to even bother thinking about

 

btw west, ford fair yes it will be there if you come and trailer it
