Deal or no deal? A3 for my FRS??
Been offered a straight swap for a 2004 A3 2.0 TDi Sport.
Would make a lot of sense financially as I need a more economical car for work now and the FRS has a drink problem.
Any opinions??

Thats about it really. I get paid mileage for any business miles, so would make more with a good diesel than my current guzzler.
Plus I don't want to murder the resale value of the FRS by putting loads of miles on it.

but in the long run, i think you would lose more on the audi
my friends mum has a A6 V8 and it was almost 50k when it was new, its now only 5 years old and only worht a quarter of what it was.
i reckon in 3 years or so you would lose around 5k on that A3 at least
sell the FRS now and buy something like the focus TDCi, pocket the 5 grand difference and use that
plus the do better mpg than the A3, but have less power
