Default body repairs peeps or peeps that have had bodywork

How much would you think a BIG insurance approved company would charge for bumper re-allignment and minor repair to bumper, respray bumper.

Now, just for reference, the same place quoted me £220 +vat to respray my front wing.

any ideas peeps?
by the way
its in white and laquer

If they are charging £220 to do a wing, i would have thought a bumper would be quite a bit more.

I am happy with £100 inc Vat to do a bumper

the reason i ask

i would like a full respray on the car, and have someone in mind that ive spoken with about it who is exceptional at what he does

thing is, my car is in the "insurance approved" shop tomorrow and was thinking that if they give me a cash settlement, then that can go towards the full respray

anyone else have any experience in body work estimates..???

there so many peeps on here that have had body work done, but 1 reply from rossco

Our old place used too work on £100 a panel. Plus around £50 to re-aline your bumper. Extra maybe parts brackets for bumper etc.

Is it just an 'insurance approved' bodyshop or a bodyshop that specialises in insurance work?

I could find you a place up here that would cost the insurance a grand to supply, fit and paint a front bumper plus a 1er a day shet hire car fee,
It's a money making market

I had a wing resprayed on my old R33 GTR, the company that did the work work on behalf of porsche and it cost £502. Top class finish and blended in to the door for a perfect match

i work for nationwide as an estimator, and the thing is with bumper repairs and resprays is that some times the colour looks off when just doing one panel so insurance approved companys blend adjacent panels for a perfect match and also to bump up the insurance claim cost to make it worth while doing.

also if you look at most audi's the bumpers always look off compared to the bodywork.
