Cosworth 4wd thermostats , whats the differnece to a 2wd ?

4x4 has 2 operating parts one to the cylinder head and one to the rad, get one from ebay,about 12 quid. matt lewis sells them.

thanks for that ,. Am i right in saying the thermostat when it opens also closes the back port in the housing then ?
