Default rs500 alteration

do yous think this is tacky or snide??

i really like the look of the rs500 front bumper but im not into paying £1000 for a second hand one when the only diffrence is the vent for intercooler

anyway a mate of mine is a great panel beater and i was thinking of getting him to cut mine and mould the slash with fibreglass, filler etc and paint it

it needs painted anyway due to stonechips

im sure he will get it bang on and after all my car gets used on the road its not trailered to shows with the original dunlops on from new

Also the vents under the number plate are longer on the 500 front bumper

Why not buy a fibreglass one ...then you always have your standard gen one when you need it?

You can pick up used genuine 500 bumpers for around £500 without splitters, and a good used 3dr one is around £200 to sell on, so I would say you are better of doing that for £300, than cutting up a 3dr one as it will be worth a lot less afterwards.

right thats it im going to get it off at weekend il get pics through out it

i dont want a fibreglass copy bumper as a stone chip will go straight through them and i can only imagine the mounting points meeting up

after all if i do it this way its still a proper plastic bumper but just a small part of it smoothed out and filled

cheers for replies
