Small Turbo problem , please help
I have a small turbo ESCOS, with some mods, Chipped ECU ( stage 2) Hybrid turbo, uprated fuel pump etc,,,
had it on the rollers and I have a problem with the ignition timing , advance/retard, not being vairable and is staying at 6 degrees all the way through the throttle position
has anyone came across this problem before , and what was the solution, we removed the uprated chip and tried another power run , but no change. Due to the problem with the ignition timing , the car is making way less than what it should.
I may need to take it to someone who has EEC4 software to download the fault codes, but I would really appreciate advise if anyone had came across this before
cheers

Ran the car with the chip removed frm the ECU, with no change at all, initially that was what the problem was thought to be
EDIS unit, whats that mate, sorry for my ignorance, but certainly not that clued up on the car at the moment
The car is only running 12 psi of boost at the moment and the fueling is a little rich, and the tuner never seemed overly concerned about using it with the problem,

The car is running fine, just feels a little sluggish to me, doesnt have the same kick usually from a cosworth.
Thanks very very much for the advise guys, hopefully have it checked tomorrow and see what the fault history shows, and with it a solution to the problem all going well

its booked into a garage on Wednesday in Scotland who recon they have the gear to carry out a diagnostics, so ill give them a try first.
Failing that , its a dirty weekend in Blackpool coming soon
